GENERAL INFORMATION

Meeting venue

The Friday Center - the spacious Conference Center operated by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill .

All lunches and the Reception and Dinner will be held in the Friday Center and are included in the registration fee.

Presentations

All oral sessions will have available a podium with microphone, a laptop and a LCD Projector. If you need any other audio-visual equipment (a range is available, but at an extra charge to the presenter) please contact Peter Robinson (pjr@email.unc.edu) as soon as possible.

The Poster Session will have a series of large surfaces capable of supporting push-pins or similar holding devices.

Accommodation

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Marriott Courtyard, within a short walk of the Friday Center .

Our original block of rooms was filled. However, the hotel has made available a few more rooms at the Workshop rate, available until February 18. Check directly with the hotel.

Transportation

There is no convenient public transportation from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Chapel Hill or the Workshop location. For the period from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday March 3 we will operate a shuttle van and taxi/pool system. Look for the portable CPASW sign in the baggage claim area:

Terminal A near Baggage Claim #1 (if arriving on Southwest and you see signs for Baggage Claim 4 & 5 only, follow Parking Garage)

Terminal C near Baggage Claim A

We will get you to your destination as expeditiously as possible.

The Chapel Hill Region

The Friday Center and the Courtyard Hotel are a couple of miles from downtown Chapel Hill . There is frequent free bus service between them. Downtown parking is possible, but as crowded as most downtowns in a college town.
