Climate and Health in North Carolina 2011
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
The workshop will take place in the Toy Lounge in Dey Hall, located in the heart of the UNC campus. Signs will be placed inside the building directing you to the Toy Lounge on the 4th floor.
Visitor information, including campus maps and directions, can be found here.
Following the workshop, we invite all participants to join us "uptown" for a cocktail reception in the Great Room at Top of the Hill Restaurant from 5:15 to 7:00pm. The reception will feature a variety of hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
Parking and Transit
Please be aware that fall orientation will be taking place the day of the workshop and parking on campus will be very limited. A map of visitor parking lots on the UNC campus can be found here. Disability lots can be found here. We encourage participants to take advantage of the numerous park and ride lots and city transit service, both of which are FREE!!! All Chapel Hill Transit routes can drop you off within a short walk to Dey Hall and many provide evening service from downtown (Franklin Street). You can check out schedules and plan your route here.
We also encourage participants to carpool to the workshop. Please email Lauren Thie (email@example.com) if you are interested in forming a carpool from your general location.
For those who wish to stay in Chapel Hill overnight on Thursday and/or Friday, here is a list of some of the hotels in the area. There are no room blocks for this workshop and participants are asked to check on availability and pricing.
